This is my favorite part..

Capturing that moment that only happens once in your lifetime and preserving that moment forever.

A Michaelangelo Moment

I was walking alone through the side streets of Florence and heard a piano playing, so I followed the music to this chapel and went in to sit down for a few minutes to escape the miserable heat. After a few minutes the pianist left and I asked the man who I assumed was a priest, if I could take photos. He happily agreed to let me take some photos. Tourists came and went.

After a few minutes when it was just the two of us, he motioned to me and in his broken english told me to follow him. He opened a door into a dark closet at the back of the room. I was terrified. The only light in the room was from his phone's flashlight. He lit up this unfinished carving hidden from the world from the 1500s done by Michelangelo!!!!! Come to find out this wasn't a chapel, it was the Accademia del Disegno (“Academy of Design”), and was established in 1563 in Florence by the grand duke Cosimo I de’ Medici and Michelangelo! Leonardo da Vinci also studied there. Hands down the coolest experience I had this summer in Florence! Something I will never forget!!
